PostHeaderIcon dog obedience? no skool?

i'm wondering how to maybe teach the dog more obedience for other people without having to go to a school.. i have taught her everything, but the problem is other people in the family let her get away with biting, jumpin, etc too often. she won't do it to me so i can't teach her it.. and she knows to avoid me if she does it to someone else.. how do i make her stop for other people? she's getting fairly old now too.. 10 months.. lab/sheppard.... by the way for anyone.. side answer.. what is clicker training?? i've seen people say that and i don't know wut they're talkin about..

PostHeaderIcon Is there a *sales tax* on dog training services in TX?

I mean dog training, like classes and private lessons, NOT grooming, daycare etc.
I know that there is sales tax on some services in TX, not all. Dog grooming for example is taxable, as "personal property maintenance". I haven't found the answer for dog training.

PostHeaderIcon Puppy training?

My puppy is 4.5 mths old, just got him, but can't be with him constantly as I have to go out without him at times. He's not potty trained. I'm working on that -the previous owner had him going on a mat at the front door-I'm taking him out continuously and rewarding with treats when he goes. I've begun to put him in the kitchen when I'm out, but it doesn't lock and he escaped from it this morning while I was out. I'm going to start crate training. Are there any suggestions regarding training him considering that I can't be at home all the time? The other issue is behaviour, which I'm working on....

PostHeaderIcon Dog obedience for aggression towards other dogs?

A family friend of mine has a medium sized terrier mix that has aggression issues against other dogs. Her owners plan to put her down for that and her tendency to leave droppings all over the house, weekly. She is the sweetest dog a human, cat, or any other living thing will meet; her aggression is strictly against other dogs. I am 100% against putting her down for something that I am sure is fixable. Do you have any advice?
